The 411 Brand recently completed an 8-week program called the 411 Music Academy in partnership with the City of Atlanta Film & Entertainment Division and Patchwerk Recording Studios in Atlanta. The goal was to provide an interactive industry program designed to give young people (16-21) an inside perspective and understanding of the different roles an opportunities available to them in today's music industry. For this class, after applying online, we welcomed 18 students from across Metro Atlanta to take part in the program. Students had a chance to hear from entertainment lawyers, producers, writers and industry veterans including Chaka Zulu (DTP CEO, Ludacris' Manager), who all shared their industry journey with the class. Students also had a chance to produce a five-song EP that comprised of original songs that was created during this process at Patchwerk Studios.
